Classes for Middle and High School Students
So you are in Middle or High School and you like to make art? We are excited about it too! We'll combine all different approaches in class, from observational drawing, to abstract work, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture. We'll learn about design and visual communication as a powerful story to give voice to your ideas and create meaning in the world. This is a time when you have lots of your own ideas, so classes will be a combination of the instructor's assignments as well as your own projects. High school students can work towards building a portfolio too.
Students are invited to join in adult level classes. Stay tuned for workshops based on real world design challenges and professional skill building.
We are proud to partner with the Gloucester Public Schools to offer after-school classes to Gloucester Middle School Students through the O'Maley Academy program. For more information call 978-283-3888.
Looking for community service credit? We often need volunteers for special events such as workshops, birthday parties, holiday workshops and our annual Buoy Painting Events. If you would like to come help, we are happy to provide the community service hours to your school. Call for more information, 978-283-3888.
From time to time we work on larger scale community projects. We love to have our teen students participate and contribute their talents and energy to public art projects on Cape Ann.
